Patient Center

What to Expect At Your Visit

Welcome to our patient center! Upon your arrival, our receptionist will welcome you as a member of our practice. If you haven't already done so when you made your appointment, we will ask you for your patient information and any insurance information. You will be asked to sign a HIPPA form that allows you to choose who if anyone in your family has access to your information and a release of records form. The release of records form allows us to share your exam information with other care providers that you may be referred to for surgery, diabetes management etc. Next an optical technician will take you back to the exam room and will ask you about your health history and other information related to providing you with the best vision solutions. The technician will then take you to the testing center where your visual fields will be tested and you will be checked for glaucoma. You may also request to be tested for Macular Degeneration.  When your testing is finished you will return to the exam room and the tech will report to your doctor your results.  Your doctor will then proceed with a thorough eye exam.  If needed the doctor may take pictures of your retina for future reference.
